Basic OBi Configuration
 
Your web portal has a tool to automatically configure your Obi device for use with our service. Here are some simple step by step instructions to get your started!

Log in to your web portal using your Vestalink account and click on the Devices tab on the left side of the screen. Then click on Softphone/BYOD in the list that drops down.
The OBi Easy Setup Tool to configure your device will look like this:
 
Step One

Identify your Obi's IP address so we can enter it on the Easy Setup Tool. Find out your IP:
  1. Pick up the phone again and dial ***
  2. Dial 1
  3. Copy down the IP address, we will need it soon. (The IP address should be a number like 192.168.1.2)
Step Two

Enter that IP into the Easy Setup Tool on the web portal into the provided spaces. (In this example the IP is 192.168.1.2. It may not be the same for you.)
Once you enter the IP click on Send Configuration. Your Obi device will now download the configurations necessary to work with Vestalink service. A window will also pop up on the web page letting you know to power off the device to finalize the setup.

Your Obi device will now automatically reset.

 
Once the lights come back online, it can take up to five minutes for the set up to complete on your Obi device. After five minutes you should be able to make and receive calls using your new service!
