Call Blocking Method

When you block a number using one of the various screening methods or adding the number manually through the Block Calls list of your web portal, you will have the option to either set up a default call blocking method or a specific one for each number.

To set up a Default Block Method for blocked or screened numbers, clicking the Settings page of your web portal, found under the Account tab.

At the bottom of the page you will be able to select the three blocking methods from the Default Block Method drop down menu.



Send to Voicemail - This method will send all blocked numbers immediately to your Vestalink Voicemail where they will be able to leave a message. If you do not have Voicemail enabled it will play the message that your Voice Mailbox is not yet set up. If you do not specify the call blocking method, Send to Voicemail is the method blocked calls default to.

Play "Number Has Been Disconnected" - When a number you have blocked calls you it will immediately be sent to the message saying that the number they have dialed has been disconnected.

Screen Calls For Telemarketers - When this setting is enabled, any calls your are blocking or screening will have a message played for them that your number does not accept calls from telemarketers. In order to continue calling you they must press 1 to confirm that they are not a telemarketer. 

When adding a number to your Blocked Calls list manually you will be able to select a specific method, from the list above, for each number you input. They will override the Default Block Method, so even if the Default you have set is to send callers to the Disconnected message you can still have specifically blocked numbers be sent to Voicemail or be screened for Telemarketing.
